The story of

the beginning

a legacy stitched with love

Fleurisse was born from a family dream: to celebrate the magic of childhood with timeless design and impeccable craftsmanship.

In 1983, Maria Moureto—a mother of three—opened Spring Flowers, a children’s boutique on Madison Avenue. She brought the sweetness and sophistication of French children’s fashion to New York, curating brands only found in Europe at the time, to New York families.

Spring Flowers quickly became a New York destination, as well as a Palm Beach destination with the opening of its iconic store on Worth Avenue in 1998. The boutique would go on to dress generations of families, its reputation built on elegance, detail, and heart.

a new brand is born

Maria's youngest daughter, Cynthia, grew up watching her mother thrive in business. Since the early days, they attended fashion shows in Paris and Florence together, instilling in Cynthia a love for refined European fashion.

In 1999 Cynthia began designing her own brand, Fleurisse. Her French heritage inspired her to create collections born from the Spring Flowers legacy, but stitched with her own vision.

fleurisse today

a legacy continues

Fleurisse has become a tradition, passed down, gifted, and treasured from one generation to the next. Available exclusively at the Spring Flowers boutiques her mother introduced more than 40 years ago, Fleurisse is now the only brand that the shops carry. Delicate hand embroidery, classic smocking, and thoughtful tailoring are hallmarks of the brand. Cynthia designs with her daughters in mind, blending heritage with warmth, soul, and modern sensibility.

Because childhood, we believe, is fleeting—and what they wear should be as memorable as the moments they make. They may grow out of their clothing quickly, but a picture lasts a lifetime.
